Last night it was “Boys Night Out”! I tagged along and hung out with my oldest son and his buddies plus the hubs. I’m not a huge sports fan, but when I heard the Globetrotters would be here I knew the boys couldn’t miss it! Since the weather is pretty cold here in Chicago I left Chance home with my sister so he didn’t have to brave the hawk, but otherwise he would have been in the crowd too.
I grew up seeing the commercials for the Harlem Globetrotters and always wanted to go, but never made it. Once I became a parent I said I would take my kids, but I always missed them when they came. But this year I was prepared. The Chicagoland Mom Squad kept me up to date about the show as well as helped me save $10 on each ticket I purchased! So it was a win/win! If this post makes you want to go and see them then they are currently touring worldwide so there’s plenty of chances toi see thrm! You can get tickets to see them from places like Ticket Club, I would highly recommend going because we had a great time!
The game was entertaining and even the half time show was fun. I laughed so many times I lost count plus they kept my husband’s attention so its definitely had to be interesting.
One thing I enjoyed is the fact that the crowd is a part of the show. A lot of audience members were picked out to participate in the skits and tricks which makes it really funny. I kept my camera ready the whole night because I didn’t know what to expect.
Harlem Globetrotters players “Big Easy” and “Bull Dog” kept the crowd laughing. The boys were estatic when they found out they could get autographs and pictures with the players afterwards. Dereon took a few selfies with his iPhone that he received for Christmas.
I recommend checking out the Harlem Globetrotters when they come to your town because it’s definitely something you’ve never experienced. Use the code “Msquad” to save $10 on each ticket you buy. That’s an amazing deal. I know next year I’ll bring Chance as well to join in on the fun.
Special thanks to the Chicagoland Mom Squad for always having the hook up on Chicago family based events. For more info on the Globetrotters please visit here.
