Date night has become our adult version of field trips. When the hubby says it’s time for a Date Night I get so giddy. I love just having him to myself kid free. It’s so important to take time out of your busy schedule and date your spouse. It is so easy to get into the hustle of life and put your marriage on the back burner, but your marriage is your ministry you have to invest in it. Make your dates exciting and fun like they were before you said ” I Do!”
I know the struggle. We say “oh I don’t have the money”, “we hardly have the time”, or the biggest one “What about the kids?” I get it! I don’t trust everyone to keep my kids either. Even though Dereon is self sufficient and Chance is almost potty trained…almost. Going out without them is tough, however I had to stop tripping. My mom and sister are fully capable of keeping my children and they do it when I have to attend an blogging event or meeting so why not let them keep the children while out for date night? Duh!
Imagine sitting down enjoying a great dinner with your mate or even a small group of your favorite couples. Looking at the beautiful Chicago skyline with a 360 degree view and staring at the ever so close moon. It’s truly an experience. Love is definitely in the air for this VIP experience. I just described the dinning at the Skydeck! The Skydeck Ledge is located in the Willis Tower Downtown Chicago.
Our food arrived in a great amount of time. We had soda, chopped salad, and Giordano’s Deep Dish Cheese & Sausage pizza. The pizza was piping hot and so yummy. To eat a slice of pizza and not have to share it with your toddler or preteen is a good feeling. We ate our food in silence. Appreciating the silence, soaking up the view, and enjoying the alone time. Being married for 7 years is a blessing and I love my husband, but there are times when we get comfortable and don’t put as much effort into going as we use to in the beginning we vowed to work on it more this year.
Not only did we eat but we also stood on The Ledge. The Ledge, part of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. At 1,353 feet in the air, the Ledge’s glass boxes extend out 4.3 feet. a glass balcony extending four feet outside the 103rd floor of Willis Tower. Standing on this clear box looking a 100 feet down was extremely scary, but fun too. We snapped pictures and dared each other to do different things on the ledge. Dennis and I had a blast, there was only one other couple there with us. Our waiter was quick, very respectful of our privacy, and overall just cool. We needed that night with just us two staring at the lights and hanging out like two high school kids. I look forward to our upcoming date nights!
I’m all about sharing gems that I find and I can honestly say this is one of the best dates we’ve been on in a long time. Here are some of the options for you and your boo to explore. Let me know how you guys enjoy it.

Happy Date Night!
It really is important that’s what keep the fire going in a marriage and relationship if you have kids . That way we can catch up on missed times and create new adventures. And to fall in love all over again.
So true. We get busy and money gets tight, but there are options for that look on Pinterest for cheap date ideas and Groupon too! I’ll be posting more on date night activities because to me it’s a must. Thanks for commenting ❤️
That Pizza!!!!!!!!
It was soooooo good ❤️
Date Night is very important in a relationship even though some of my date nights end up at the bookstore.
That’s still sexy and fun. There are so many different things you can do for date night and one of them is share your hobby with your mate. It’s all about fun and exploring. Thanks for commenting ❤️
That place looks like fun…and although I am team single, I have put this in my memory bank to always remember to date my future husband!
Yes definitely!
Oh My GAWSH!
This is officially on my bucket list.
That pizza .. my husband will LIVE to eat it. he loves pizza and although I’m low carb .. I think I might have to try this one.
Also, I totally agree when you say you don’t trust many people to watch the kids. Neither does my husband and I.
But sometimes we gotta trust God so we can get a night out to ourselves.
I’m so happy you had an amazing time. You both deserved it, and it looked like triple worth your money!
The pizza is AMAZING! You have to try at least one slice.
I get nervous when others keep my kids so I keep it to my mom and sister. They love my boys and mg boys love them and I can enjoy myself with out worrying.
Trust God and enjoy your mate. ❤️ Thanks for commenting love.
