Guys I’m super excited to say this… my family and I are test driving the 2015 Subaru Legacy! We will have the car for a whole week and we’ve already been putting that baby to use. We’ve ran errands, did last minute Christmas shopping, dropped off gifts and picked some up from family and friends. Whew!
The funny thing is the car just fits perfectly in our life. It’s not too big and it’s not too small. Our boys fit comfortably in the back and have some room to move around and Dennis has enough leg room when driving and being a passenger (he’s 6ft.) Since I’m short I love the fact the seats can be moved by a push of a button.
The gas mileage on this car has been amazing, we have been all over Chicago and we still have more than a half tank of gas! I’m impressed. I’ll keep you guys posted on what else the Subaru can do later this week!
Keep an eye out on us on social media because videos and pictures are being uploaded constantly! We are loving this car and super blessed to have it for a whole week!
I love the fact that Dereon has to wear shirt and tie to school everyday. He also must wear black socks with his “dress” shoes. At his previous school he could wear whatever socks he wanted so he only had a few pair of black socks. Which meant I had to stack up on black socks when he started at his new school. The only thing I wasn’t to happy about was the fact that black “dress” socks cost a little more than plain white socks and are a little harder to find so when I was given the chance to review a pair of microfiber black socks I jumped at it.
We decided we on a 3 pair pack of microfiber boys dress socks. At the first look I knew I would love these socks. Mainly because the were very soft looking, but well made. (it going to be hard to put holes in these bad boys). They have a gold line which I like for when I’m pairing up socks (LOL) but it is actually to tell you the child’s shoe size for a perfect fit when shoe hunting. The socks also had just enough stretch for them to be comfy, but fit snug.
Dereon likes them and told me they were “cozy”. It’s a plus that it comes in a 3 pack and the price is perfect (on sale for $6). I recommend you checking out their site. They don’t just have children items, but men and women as well.
So normally when we take our weekly trip to Redbox we get 3 movies one for the kiddo, one for the hubz, and one for me. Very rarely do we all have one movie in common that we all equally want to see. Except for this random Redbox stop yesterday. I didn’t feel like cooking so we grabbed Take Out and of course movie night popped in my head. I don’t know if you follow me on social media, but if you do you know my family and I are movie heads! Lol. We watch a lot of movies and I would rent Redbox movies and watch Lifetime Movie Network every day if I could. Really, I would, but anyways this time we went to the Redbox kiosk and we only got ONE movie and that’s because we all wanted to see 42. We missed seeing it at the theaters for some stupid reason and we wanted to catch it the 1st week it was out for rental and I’m glad we did. The movie was amazing! By the end of the movie I was a red eyed, crying, baseball fan. The movie had action, romance, history and even comedy all bundled in one. Although racial slurs and profanity are very bold in this film however I believe it was needed to set the tone.
I’ve gotten way ahead of myself let me give you a quick blurb about 42:
42 is about Professional Baseball player Jackie Robinson and his rise to stardom as he battled to become a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers under the leadership of Branch Rickey. In the process it shows how Robinson fault through racism and helped his all white team become color blind.
The guy who played Robinson, Chadwick Boseman gave an outstanding performance and the on camera connection shared with his “movie wife” Nicole Beharie was the cutest. I loved following along on their romance as he grew as a man and baseball player. Oh and lastly Harrison Ford who played Dodgers owner Branch Rickey was fabulous he can never do any wrong, but after this performance I have even more respect for him. Just a great movie overall.
It’s Friday go to Rebox and check this film out. Great for a movie to watch with your husband, school aged kids (have a talk about race afterwards) parents, grandparents and even friends. And guess what you can rent this free by using the promo code: DVDNIGHT
I am proud to say I am a member of “SheSpeaks” and boy it’s pretty cool. I received a box with four PG items. They were sent for me to test them out and give my honest review. I love that the items I received were full size bottles and not sample sized I also loved that the products were all PG most loved items so these were popular and top sellers.
The box was filled with a “Tide to go”, Gillette Fusion Soothing Moisturizer, CoverGirl Outlast Lipgloss duo, and Olay Total effects 7 in one deep penetrating moisture advanced anti-aging body wash! There was also some information on the campaign and what I was to do with the products. Very easy program and lots of fun. I enjoyed each item, although one of the products had to be used by my husband (Gillette Fusion Soothing Moisturizer) he loved the fact I had something to share with him.
I have been a fan of Procter and Gamble for as long as I can recall. They have become a brand America can trust. So when I received the package from SheSpeaks I was ecstatic and honored to review items from such an reputable company.
