I’m an iPhone user and I love Apple, but I’m not a fan of every year finding out my phone is obsolete because Apple has dropped a newer and better version. Sigh. Anyways today Apple released information on its new phone…the iPhone 7.
The press conference is happening right now so the news is slowly coming in, but a picture has been leaked showcasing a water resistant iPhone which is huge news for Apple lovers.
This new phone will also boast a new camera. The speakers have been upgraded to stereo speakers. Better battery life is expected and the biggest feature to me is the wireless headphones that will be included since the ear phone jacks have been removed. Pretty interesting stuff.
The new iPhone is available for preorder and drops September 16th 2016. As more information becomes available I’ll definitely share.
I didn’t over do it today. I only took one class today. I was extremely tired this morning when it was time to wake the kiddo up, so I am glad I took it easy today. My session was at the Tribune Tower on Michigan Ave. The building is just so historic. I was on time and found a seat easily. The core of what was taught today was basically how to keep your readers engaged through the various social media sites. The speakers were Social Media gurus from Lincoln Park Zoo, Shedd Aquarium, and Entertainment cruises. Here are a few tips that I felt were very useful:
1. Have a quick response time on your social media outlet. If someone tweets, repost, or comments to you then have the decency to respond even to negative comments.
2. Only post things that are funny, important, or relevant. You can lose readers if you are always posting random things unless that’s your style and or brand.
3. Be consistent. Have a voice and stay in that lane. If you are claiming to be a car expert please don’t venture off into make up tutorials!
The class was about 50 minutes long and then they opened the floor to questions. I learned some pretty cool tips and have already notice more responses.
Afterwards the sun was shining and the weather was just right. I felt like a tourist in my own city so I took a few photos with my beat up iPhone. (Brag: all the pictures posted from #smwchicago was taken with my iPhone.)
I walked to grab a bite to eat at Panda Express (my fave) and I enjoyed the alone time and the use of their electric socket to charge my dying iPhone lol. I then made a quick… OK, long stop at forever 21 for a few items. Overall it was a good day. Looking forward to tomorrow’s line up, I have 3 sessions on the slot for tomorrow and 2 for Thursday and then I’m done:)
