Vindicated: Confessions of a Video Vixen, Ten Years Later

I love to read. People that are close to me know that I’m am avid reader. I read all types of books from romance to a little Sci-Fi. Now as a mom a whole lot has changed and my book choices have been changed as well. When I was younger I was really into urban literature books and ran across a book that everyone was talking about “Confessions of a Video Vixen” by Karrine Steffans. When I tell you that book was a quick read I mean it! I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to hear about the different entertainers she dated. Some of them were easy to guess while I’m still wondering about others. Ha!

Being a reader makes it pretty easy to connect to other readers and hear about the new works on the rise. I haven’t been as up to date in the literary world since I’m limited to reading now that I’m such a busy mom but, my good buddy Orsayor from Book Referees told me about Karrine Steffans’ new book that is soon to be released, it’s titled “Vindicated: Confessions of a Video Vixen, Ten Years Later”. I’m pretty interested in checking it out because I want to know what has happened in the last 10 years since her first book. I recall all the fuss it started in the music industry.

Here’s a brief take on what it’s about:

In Vindicated: Confessions of a Video Vixen, Ten Years Later, Karrine takes readers into the belly of the beast as she harrowingly chronicles the systematic breakdown of her mind, body, and spirit at the hand of one man and the events that propelled her back to prosperity after losing everything. She candidly shares her struggle to be what others demand, her obsession with the American dream, her desperation to appear normal, the lengths to which she went, and the price she paid for it all.

Sounds pretty interesting! It’s to be released June 2, 2015 and it’s available for presale Amazon. I’m going to grab it for a little “mommy time” break over the summer and do a review for you guys. Happy reading!
